shine & https
a while back jcink alerted everyone that they were implementing https, which is a more secure way to connect to sites to prevent tampering and and promote integrity. you'll notice, if you use firefox and chrome, that there is a small alert on any sites that aren't using https that informs you the site isn't secure. while this wasn't a major concern for us yet, as it likely won't be for a few years that jcink forces the use of https (especially because custom domains bought through namecheap don't support https yet), we decided that to make things easier in the long run we'll simply switch over. so, what does that mean for all of you? not a whole lot, really, save for the eventual cessation of the notifications that the site connection is not secure and http not working for jcink forums as a whole, but in the interim it means that certain aspects will no longer work until transferred over to the proper format. custom fonts, external stylesheets, and certain images hosted on sites that don't have secure connections will need to be adjusted if they're using http instead of https. you'll notice that some of your templates, fonts, and other aspects won't work on the https version of shine until any http is replaced with https. if you're confused over why something won't work anymore, first take a look and see if your images, fonts, stylesheets, etc, are using https; if not, the simple fix is to change any http to https! if you're still confused, drop an admin a line, we'll try and explain as best we can.
