Before the Mast's August issue
of the "Chronicles and Histories of the West Indies " is up, with news and gossips, celebrating SIX YEARS BEFORE THE MAST.
“Before the Mast” is officially 72 months old, i.e. six whole years old! Warm thanks to all the crew, to everybody who has made it possible for our writing community to flourish and for the story to get further, and here is a birthday speech
where nobody has been forgotten (hopefully). The plot has been updated, reflecting the passed six years “Before the Mast”
, and, like every year, we have a top of the year
highlighting the progress during this sixth year.
For the year 1720, until 1-st of August we have written over 12,000 posts in 486 threads, out of which 427 completed, 42 ongoing and only 17 (3.5 %) archived threads. For the year 1719 we wrote 18,251 posts in 705 threads, out of which 31 (i.e. 4.4%) abandoned threads.
Overall, in six years of writing actively, we have written over 30,250 posts in 1,191 threads, out of which 1,101 completed, 42 ongoing and 48 (4%) archived – a good score, given that in most RPGs, unfinished threads are more common than finished ones. We do finish the stories we start, unless exceptional circumstances!
"Before the Mast" is seven years old… and counting!
After a victory a la Pyrrhus, our story is going on, towards a new, colonial, Caribbean Dawn.
You are invited to adventures in Casanova's Venice, in 1792!
